Rutgers Honorary Doctor of LettersRutgers: The State University of New Jersey conferred an Honorary
Doctor of Letters to Judy. This degree recognizes Judy's lifetime
accomplishments in capturing the emotions of young people, providing
communications between and among generations and being avigorous
advocate of intellectual liberty.

write about the topic, and why she swears each book she writes will
be her last.

National Book Festival 2009The Library of Congress celebrated the Joy of Reading by organizing and sponsoring The 2009 National Book Festival.
The day-long festival was free and open to the public. Judy signed books in the Teens & Children Pavilion
