HI

When I was 12 I read "Are you there God, it's me Margaret" while recovering from an operation. I loved the book and scoured our local library for more. I recently introduced my daughter (11) to your writing and she is hooked as well. It is wonderful for us to have this common thread in our reading experiences and cannot wait as she grows older to introduce her to some of my other favorite authors. My heartfelt thanks to you for giving the two of us this common ground, it is something we can both draw on as we enter the teenage years.

Dear Judy,
I grew up reading your books...and they shaped a lot of my growing up.
'Are You There God It's Me Margaret' resonates with a lot of my teenage years, and I remember when I was given the book 'Forever' from my parents. It did the rounds of the school, and I finally got the book back, dog-eared and tatty. I think the whole school must have read (my) book!
Judy Blume's books are written like you're getting advice from a friend or confiding in your favourite aunt (!).
Not everyone can openly talk to their parents about 'growing up' and their awkward stage of puberty, that's when you would read Judy Blume's books, and know that you are actually completely NORMAL!
If I had a teenage daughter, I would definitely suggest she read Judy Blume's books to put her mind at ease!

Dear Judy Blume, I read Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing. My favorite part was when Fudge ate Dribble. I guess writers have to do a lot of writing and drafts. My second favorite part was when Fudge thought he could fly...and he knocked out his two front teeth! I think the book was great.

Your books just popped into my head so I thought id look you up! My friends and I had a conversation last week about your books and how much we loved them. You were a huge part of my childhood and teenage years and I look forward to one day introducing my own daughter to your books. She's only 10 months so I will probably wait a couple of years!

Is there really not a second book? I just can't get over it. Everything that you wrote in that book was amazing and it was like watching a movie but better of course. But I'm just so curiouse, does anything happen after ? I have to know.

I was never a reader when I was young and I regretted it. Now, I'm introducing reading to my kids. While scouting for kids' books, I came upon one of your books. I read it and I got hooked! I began searching for more of your books. They really lighten up my day. Even my 4-year old often asks me to read to him his favorite funny parts! Those are good bonding moments. Thank you! I should've read your books when I was a kid!

when I was young I read a book that I thought was a sequel to Blubber, I don't remember a lot about the book but that the girl had a boyfreind that gave her a dog for her birthday , that she used to be fat. also in the story it was said that her breed of dog housebreaks themselves, or the mother dog teaches the pups. Do you have any idea of what book I am remembering?

I just wanted to thank you for the fabulous Fudge audio books you recorded! I have 2 sons, 4 and 7 and they are obsessed! We have them all and we listen to Fudge over, and over, and over.....they know them by heart and my 4 year old quotes them all the time. Yesterday he said, "this place is a dump!" (As Peter says about the Whitman's house in Princeton in Superfudge). I was very offended and embarrassed, it was not until later that I realized where he got it from, he really is my own Fudgie.
While our Fudge listening is a bit over the top, it is GREAT because ALL kids are quiet when the Fudge books are playing. I can have 6 kids in my minivan and complete silence as we listen to Fudge for the millionth time. I love it, I grew up loving your books and am now a librarian. Sharing these books with my young kids and reminding other parents, ("Remember Fudge? Your kids will love him!" ) is the best! Thank you Judy Blume!!! We love you!

Hi Mrs.Blume,
Its me, Hayden again! I've treasured the letter you sent me. I haven't read your books for some time, but I'm writing a book of my own, actually three. They are called: "The Middle School Girls: Olivia Takes a Stand", "Sarah Ann Jones: A girl from the 1740s", and finally "The Wind of Chocolate Bay". Tell me what you think of the titles.
