Dear Judy Blume,
Our class just got done reading Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. It was AWESOME! I loved the part when Fudge tries to fly and swallows his teeth and I felt bad for him at the same time. I was just curious, why doses Peter always have to help Fudge do everything? When Fudge smears the mashed potatoes all over the wall...that was HILARIOUS. I LOVED this book.

Dear Judy Blume,
We have just Finished Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. I thought it was one of the best books I have ever read. My favorite part though was when Fudge ate Peter's turtle. It was kind of funny but kind of sad that Peter's turtle died. He got a new pet and it was way better than Dribble...well kind of.

Gage

Hi Judy,
I just wanted to let you know that your books have seriously changed my life for the better. I have literally read every book you've ever written. My personal favorites are the Fudge books and Here's to You Rachel Robinson - Charles is hilarious! I was also reading all about your experience with censorship and I just wanted to tell you that your books really informed me on a lot of topics, so thank you. I had a very sheltered childhood, and reading your books opened my mind up to a lot of new ideas and topics. I have vivid memories of hiding out in the back of the public library reading Forever haha! But your books taught me so much, I can't say thanks enough. Enjoy life in Key West!

Hi Judy. just done ready your book and well I was diagnosed with scoliosis on 6th grade around 32 degrees curvature, now maybe aroun 110 degrees. Nothing extraordinary. I want to tell you that I fucking hate and love the book. It was funny how I remebered what I felt before with my condition. I want to know how is Deenie right now? does she have a lover? Is it Buddy? How is her scoliosis? Did it got worse? I have so many questions to ask you. Is there an email I can chat with you? By the way, I just retyped all this stuff now because the browser just logged out of the website so please give me you email. that would be a whole lot easier. Soooooo looking forward to your reply. Sincerely yours, Nonneline.

Dear Judy Blume,

Good morning! I loved your books.
My favorite was The One in the Middle is the Green Kangaroo.
I have only read two of your books. Freckle Juice, The One in the Middle is the Green Kangaroo. I wish I could read your other books too.
Some people use there penname. Is Judy Blume your real name, or a penname? I wanted to be a writer. I can make a lot of stories if I use my head. But if I write story, it is quite short. My dad makes newspaper. So he taught me how to write very well. I wish you could write back to me. I would love to meet you in real life.

I still have the copy of Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret that I bought at the Scholastic Book Fair in the late 1970's. I have enjoyed most of your books through Summer Sisters and got to reread them with my now adult children when they were young. I am studying the voices of your characters at different ages as I am now taking my first writing class. Your work has come up in class discussion as so relatable and impactful on us as we were growing up. Thanks for paving the way for so much great Young Adult literature that came after you.

Hello!

I'm currently reading Wifey; I love it! I read most of your books when I was in elementary school and junior high school. I remember that my favorites were Blubber, Forever, Deenie and Are you There God? It's Me, Margaret. Wow! I read Are You There God- in 1980, and it feels like I read it yesterday. I also remember reading Forever at church camp. LOL Now, my daughters are reading your books. Thank you for the great stories. They are truly the best. Now I'm going to curl up in bed with my chihuahua and probably finish Wifey tonight. Do you ever give speeches, etc. in NYC? We come into the city frequently.

Regards,
Sarah
