Mrs. Casais's class
Dear Mrs. Blume,
Our second grade class just finished the story "Tales of the Fourth Grade Nothing" and they LOVED it!!! They loved when Jenny "made" on the floor and found it very sad when Dribble didn't make it alive. We thank you for these wonderful characters!!
With much respect.... Mrs. Casais's class (Timothy, Jace, Aidan, Dean, Gavin, Nicholas, Mia, and Celine)
When I was 12 I read Are You There God..., and Deenie. Already an avid reader and writer, I was inspired by these books to write my own books that made kids feel less alone. It took me another 40 years (I became a high school guidance counsellor in between), but I finally did it. Orca Book Publishers in Canada has published my first YA novel, Subject to Change, and I would like to send you (Judy) a copy, just to say thank you. I've read many of your books, been influenced by your writing style, and even love your website! I would be so pleased if someone could tell me how to get a copy of my book, and a personal note, to Judy.
Sincerely, Karen Nesbitt

Will you ever write a sequel to "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret"? Great book. I always felt it ended too abruptly. How does Laura Danker's life turn out? All the best to you.

Dear Ms. Blume,
I love your Fudge books. Can you make more?
From your biggest fan, Christian.
When I first read Summer Sisters I was seventeen, and I fell in love, it instantly became my favorite book and I can honestly say, it is still my favorite. I read this book every year (sometimes more than that) and I've just never gotten over it. It's hard to explain exactly what it means to me, I just feel the story so deeply in my heart and I am so very glad that you wrote it. I, like other fans, ponder the ending and the ins and outs of the story and I just wanted to thank you for writing it. No matter how many times I pick it up, it's still magical.
Dear Judy Blume,
Are you still making Judge books? I like your books.
I love your writing
You are my favorite
Hello. I am Gabriella, a senior at Amador High School in Sutter Creek, California. For my AP English class we are required to present a senior project on any topic we would like. My topic is book banning and challenging. I understand that you have experience with this problem. I was hoping that I might be able to interview you for my project so that I can create a better argument as to why books should not be banned. I understand that you are a busy person, and that It may not be possible to have this interview, but I would really enjoy having one. Thank you for writing books!

Ran across Unlikely Event by chance and you and I remember the same Elizabeth. I lived in Roselle until 1948 and used to shop for a neighbor lady at the A&P on Elmora Avenue. Then they had bus 49 with overhead wires from Elizabeth to Dunellen, and those gray squat buses--e.g., 24 (Singer) 28 (Bayway which used Westfield Ave.), and more. Before they redid the Jersey Central, it ran from Broad Street Station east to Jersey City, with the Pennsylvania Railroad crossing above it there. As a kid, I played in Warinanco Park (bordering Roselle, Elizabeth, and Linden). Also went to day camp at the YMCA--think it was about 2 blocks east of Broad and parallel to it. The counselor of my group, as it was, attended Jefferson High. I could draw a map by hand connecting Broad Street with Morris Ave et. al., even today. Attended St. Joseph School in Roselle (for my most regretted 6 years of education--wish I had been allowed to stay at Harrison E. S., then go on to Abraham Clark). Moved to Charleston, SC in 1948 and never returned to live in NJ as it happened. Heard the awful news of the plane crashes after I left. Today, I'm a retired professor (specialist in Modern Mexico and the Caribbean). My wife well acquainted with your children's books--well, the other ones too. We're fewer each year who recall Elizabeth of our time. Good health and best wishes wherever you may be today!
