Hi. I'm curious: in Blubber, was the name "Wendy" chosen deliberately to be ironic, as she's the opposite of the sweet lovable Wendy in Peter Pan?

Hello, Judy

What I pleasure to be able to tell you about your amaizing work! I just finished reading Summer Sisters and Im at a loss of words for your ability to keep a reader digging into the book.

I have to say the ending is wonderful as it can be interpreted in so many ways after all the adventure portrayed in the book.

I can not wait to acquire the rest of your books and read them all!

Thank you for sharing your work with the world!

Hi! I was wondering how does your personal life affects your writing? By the way I love you fudge books! I think you should write about a girl in middle school who feels left behind when her friends develop before her. Thanks for considering. Also im writing a report on you so if you reply to that question with my email it would be a great help. Thanks again!

Hello Judy, I just perused your website as part of a research exercise in my creative writing class. One of the questions posed was "who do you admire and want to emulate." Since my daughter had read and loved many of your books when she was young, your name has always been at the top of my list of favorite authors. I think your site is wonderful, easy to navigate and inspiring with lots of good information.

I also read your personal experience with breast cancer in 2012. Very touching and transparent. Writing about everyday things gives a writer more than enough material, and through it God gives us more than enough grace when those things are life altering. No doubt you have found that to be true, as well. I pray your continued good health.

So, now that I am inspired on all levels, I can tackle my two children's books, For the Love of Big Balooka and Steggie The Needy Dinosaur, with less anxiety. Both fiction based on actual events.

Thank you again for the privilege of visiting your well-thought out website. It really was a pleasure! Godspeed, Kathy

Dear Judy Blume,
I truly enjoyed spending time reading your books trough out my childhood. I truly find you to be quite the inspiration to many of today's youth, including myself. I am currently in grade 10 and have taken the initiative to write a short children's novel to sell to a number of parents or teachers interested in purchasing the book. The profits will be donated to a children's charity which is yet to be decided, while the printed copies will be donated to the Montreal Children's Hospital. I would deeply appreciate any advice if you will be willing to share. Thank you for your time, sincerity Ashley R.

Dear Judy,
I wanted to thank you for making our family road trip to St. Louis fly by. We listened to the 'Fudge' books on cd...helped me keep my sanity with three kiddos in the mini-van.
We also have a common friend in the Keys. Wendy A. and I grew up together. Maybe I will have the honor of meeting you at my next visit.
Writing is my passion. It energizes me and keeps me moving forward. Enjoyed reading your web page.
Warmly, Maria

Dear Ms. Blume,
I am a 49 year old mother of 3 from the Midwest. I am in the process of rereading for the 20th or 30th time your adult books (Smart Women, Summer Sisters, etc..)and every time I read them I see something new. Your books are timeless. I laugh, I cry, I miss the characters so much when I am done with the book. I was so excited to see that you have a new book coming out in June 2015! Thank you so much for your work. There will never be another author like you!

Hi Judy,
I am doing an author study about you and I was hoping that you could answer a few questions.
1. What is something that no one would expect about you?
2. Who is your role model?
3. What is your favorite book(not one of your books, please)?
4. What was your favorite subject in school?

Thank you, Jeana
