The only book I've read by you is Starring Sally J. Freedman as Herself. I remember liking it. You said it was your most autobiographical book. That's interesting. At the end of World War II, I wasn't alive, and I'm a Presbyterian, and I don't like the beach. So I can't really relate, but I like the book. It's been years since I've read it but it's on my bookshelf at home. I'm going to be graduating from college soon and I'm not sure what I want to do. The other day I was looking at my bookshelf has my childhood books and tween books and young adult books and now has a neat stack of college textbooks next to it. And your book is on there. So I just wanted to let you know.

Also, please update your website, it's 2015, Judy.

Dear Judy, I really liked the Fudge books and I think you should write another one. What happens to Peter's teeth? Do they go on the Hawaiian boat trip? What happens when Tootsie grows up? Does Fudge buy Washington DC? If you could write another sooner or later, that would be very nice. Love, Digby

Here are some of the following questions I have for Judy Blume:
~Were you confident about your first book?
~Why did you choose to write about the unusual topics you write about?
~Did you ever get tired of being a writer? If so how old were you and why?
~Is the book coming out in June your last book?
~How did you decide to be a writer?Did your parents encourage you?
~Did you have other dreams as a kid?
~What was the best thing that ever happened to you? When and where?

Your books are simply amazing. I have read every single one, over the years, and continue to re-read my favorites, every couple of years - Are you There God, Its me Margaret, and Smart Women. Your books got me through teenage years and college, and somehow, I kept the best for last - I finally read Summer Sisters and it made my heart smile. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I've read most of them and now my oldest daughters are 11 and 9 I'm lending my books to them. Shocked to realised that are you there god its me Margaret is 45 years old and my daughters can still really relate to it today. I'm going to keep forever back for another couple of years. Hi Judy
I live in the UK and for my 16th birthday (I'm now 36) my sister bought me the original painting used for the front cover design of 'Then again maybe I won't'. She bought it from the artist who visited the London bar she worked in. She forgot to get it signed though and I'd dearly love to be able to contact the artist to get it signed. Cab you help me at all?

I was not interesting in reading as a child until I hit 6th grade and found YOU. I read your books over and over and eventually branched out into other authors, but it was because of you that I started reading.
I have been a 2nd grade teacher for 16 years, sharing some of your books with my students and now I'm somewhat changing careers and becoming a high school librarian.
I just want to thank you for all the books you've written and all the children you've turned into readers throughout the years. You are a wonderful inspiration!

Happy belated birthday, Judy! I am a third grade teacher at a small school in New Jersey. While reading started out as a challenge for my students this year, the tides quickly turned when I decided to switch to novels. Upon reading the Fudge series to my students, they discovered a new love for reading. We would love to share our success with you, if you are ever up for a visit to a tiny school in your home state!

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite authors of all time! I am an avid reader, former book editor, and current travel blog writer and lawyer, and your books were instrumental in fostering my lifelong love for the written word. I live in NYC and have a home in Key West, and perhaps one of these days, I will be lucky enough to bump into you. Maybe I should start carrying around my well-worn copy of "Summer Sisters" just in case!

I just read in the paper today is your Birthday. Happy Birthday! When I read your name the first thing that popped into my head was your book, "It's Not The End of the World". In 1985 my ex and I split up, my son was 6 years old. We moved to a new area, first grade was at a new school. It was a very hard time. But one thing I remember is my son and I cuddled on the couch reading this book, we both laughed and cried together and your book helped. Thank You! Have a great Birthday.

Dear Judy, I was reading something today about Roald Dahl's daughter and thought about how fondly I loved James and the Giant Peach growing up. That immediately triggered thoughts of Peter and Fudge and Dear God it's me, Margaret. It made me look you up online and I see that I can leave you a message. My childhood was transported into another dimension because of people like you, who had the courage to put a pen to paper with their creative and wonderful stories and for that I will truly be forever in your debt. You have my gratitude for the day I got to hear my teacher read to us, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. And later, for all of your work. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for inspiring generations of people. You are appreciated.
Warmest Regards, Rhonda
