Thank you, thank you for all your wonderful notes. I only wish I could respond to each of you personally. But in order to start a new book I need serious thinking time, which means less time for e-mail. Hope you understand. Just want you to know that my assistant and I read this guestbook every day, and that your continued love and support are a constant inspiration.

You have a terrific website. I am here as part of a school assignment. I had to look at a website of an influential writer. I chose you because I am wanting to write children's stories. You are truly an inspiration.

Hi Mrs. Blume,
My name is Staci Kiefaber. I am a second grade teacher in Dahlonega, Georgia. My students are very passionate about your Fudge series books. We have read three of your five books so far this school year. My students are great writers. They came up with the idea to write a persuasive letter to you convincing you to write more Fudge books. Next week they are planning to do a writing assignment to you so be ready for 21 persuasive letters in your Guest Book. Our school is Lumpkin County Elementary! Go LCES! Your fan, Staci Kiefaber

Judy,

As my boys start to read your books, I have never been more excited to introduce them to an author. My parents never talked to me about puberty, sex, or anything uncomfortable growing up and your books (you know which ones!) were like a Bible to me. They helped me through so many insecurities and struggles and I attribute the fact that I'm a fairly well-adjusted happy adult to the influence you had on me when I was a pre-teen. Thank you so much for your honesty and courage over the years. You are the primary reason I believe censorship is so harmful for kids. Because of the controversy over your books in the 80's, I have gone on to read every banned book I can find, and it has made me a richer, more fulfilled person. Thank you, thank you, thank you, a million times over. You are my hero.

Very Sincerely,
Dave J

Hi Judy,
I'm in high school and in my English class we were given the assignment of writing an essay on a controversial topic. For my topic I'm writing about the censorship and banning of books. I picked this topic because I love to read. As I got deeper into my research, I became more and more enraged at the ridiculous reasons for the removal of certain titles. But you have helped me so much in the process of writing this speech. I read your book "Forever" because I was curious about why it has been challenged. And when I found this website I was so happy to read about an author's opinions on the subject. Thank you so much for writing and inspiring others like you have inspired me.

Dear , the author that understands, Judy Blume,

I'd like to thank you for all of the books I have been reading since I was 9 and how they have now prepared me for a less complicated adolescence. From the dealing with a younger sibling Peter Hatcher to the confused about growing up Margret Ann Simon. Also for the book I've read over 5 times: Blubber. I, myself are a tiny but overweight and dealing with criticism is much easier now. I've entered high school and its stopped but know and then I hear some from older students. I block these taunts out. I hope someday I can hear back from you or even meet you. Meeting you would be absolutely WONDERFUL!!! Anyway, I know you have more mail and em@ils to read and hopefully more books for teenagers.

Yours sincerely~Amber Jade.H
P.S I really hope to hear back from you. I love your spectacular work!!:] <3

I have just discovered you...Summer Sisters is a masterpiece. I am an avid reader, but, only recently have I discovered books from earlier in the 90's (thanks to the late husband of a fried who was a collector (& reader) of books. She has shared with me boxes full that have been stored in their garage. Never have I been brought to serious tears as well as heart felt emotion reading a book. It is beyond a "good book". Your depth in the characters, all participants, but, certainly Vix and Caitlin...this could have been written in today's times. This would be a best seller today. This should be made into a movie. This is the best book all around of any I have ever read. Trust me....I will go to Amazon and get all of your books. I just had to write and tell you you are a master of people. Thank you.

ps: At my age I do not consider myself as elderly. I am very active (including golf) and my 6 grandkids don't consider me an old lady...and until I read Summer Sisters I thought F.Scott Fitzgerald was the greatest writer of people.

Dear Judy;
I had written you before an email, but SADLY lost the copy I had. I had really cherished that, and wanted to write again since it's been some time.

It's because of you, Judy, that I have enjoyed most all of my life the love of reading. It all started in Franklin Elementary School growing up in Syracuse, NY when the librarian gave me the book, "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing". I had read it before library period ended, and went back to her explaining what I loved about the story.
It was about 4 years ago when I had realized I had not read your Adult titles, and so within 6 weeks had them read, and want to say, "I absolutely Loved them!" They had me longing I could find someone to love again. I did, but she turned out to be Ex Wife #2 which I am ashamed to say because all I have ever wanted in my life is to love someone who would love me back.
I am a 46 year young Christian Gentleman who thinks love notes should be written daily; Flowers given to your sweetheart more than a holiday; by the way, "Happy Valentine's Day to You!";that doing dishes for your special someone any day and or every day is something I have done before(3 years straight in my first marriage);massaging a woman's feet when she comes home and is tired;hugs and kisses daily;and simply calling her when I am out so she doesn't worry where I am; as well as simply being LOYAL to her and her alone! Listening, Laughing, Embracing, and Looking at Her when she speaks to me.
Sorry for rambling..I know that your busy?!!

I have always had a crush on you since I was in Fourth Grade reading all the books I could get my hands on that you wrote. When I would look at your photo I would simply think, "Oh, to be in love with Judy?!! How divine that would be!" I think your one of the most attractive authors I have ever enjoyed reading, and envy the man who has had the oppportunity to do so! He's a lucky man, Judy, and don't ever take yourself for granted in this respect! Your definitely worth the time and energy placed in this life to be so loved!

Well, Happy Valentine's Day again, and God Bless you and your family!

In His Grace and His Love,
a huge fan of yours now and FOREVER;
Michael Anthony

P.S. It was 18 years ago today on this day in 1996 that I walked into a house in Bucksport, Me with my then first wife and her daughter. We were looking to buy a house. The Living Room had Hearts on the Wallpaper of which I unknowingly did not realize it had, and after we were done looking at this 4 acre property with a West End Orchard, 2 Acres of North woods, Garden on East End with Garage and Workshop she loved it. It also had a spring on the property that was the sweetest water I have ever drank! I turned to her and said, "Happy Valentine's Day, Love!"
Did I tell you I am a Hopeless Romantic, wanting to be a Hopeful Romantic! I pray I find her one day when I least expect it?! I so long to love a Loyal, Christian Woman who is careful what she eats, exercises and will be a Loyal Partner in wanting to Fully Love me "Forever!"
