Hi, Judy. I've been reading your books since 5th Grade, and this year introduced my children to the Fudge books. Even my 7-year-old daughter loved it, as did my 9-year-old son, who has also been reading you in Grade 4. It is so much fun to know that what was relevant to me so many years ago is still relevant to my kids. It's still a couple of years off before it will be time for my daughter to read "Are You There, God..." But you can rest assured that will be required reading when the time comes! But let's hope it will be many years before she discovers "Forever."😉

Dear Mrs. Blume, I'm Avery S I have 7 brothers and 1 sister. My favorite part about your book Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing was when Fudge ate Dribble because Fudge was grinning at Peter. When Mom got scared when Fudge was rushed to the Hospital. And after that the house was sad and quiet. And when the doctors gave Fudge milk, prune juice, and apple juice. And when Fudge pooped out dribble. The sad part was when Dribble died. This is why I liked Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. Sincerely, Avery

Fudge acted like he was a bird and when he fell off he lost his two front teeth and he said "all gone."

Dear Judy Blume,

Hello, How are you? I hope you are very well. I am writing to tell you that I really loved your Fudge series. It is my favorite series. I think the character of Fudge is so funny and so great. He truly is one of a kind. I always enjoy reading and re-reading the books. It is like re-visiting old friends. The characters are so realistic and you can really relate to them and you feel a connection to them. The books were also very funny I always laughed out loud reading them. I was wondering if you would please write another book in the Fudge series. I would love to see how the Hatcher family is doing. Thank you so much. Have a nice day.

Please let me know if you are scheduling an event in Ohio or Pennsylvania-it would be so awesome to meet you someday!
BTW, my boyfriend is also an author, too! He's currently writing a book about the history of Jewish people in the Youngstown area.

Dear Judy,
I have been a huge fan of yours since childhood. I've been re-reading some of my favorites, and they are still as amazing as I remember, even if Margaret no longer has to deal with the sanitary belt. LOL! I just bought my girls (ages 7 and 12) a boxed set so I could share it with them. I just finished your latest adult novel ITUE, and I just had to write and say how much I loved it! I could not put it down... These wrinkly baggy eyes are your handiwork this week! Any way, thanks for your hard work and talent, I hope to meet you at one of your events soon.

With much sincerity,
Lisa

Is there any chance you would consider a 5 minute Skype session with our troop? We would love to know what inspired the characters in your book and how you started your career as a writer.

Thanks!

Also, your recent novel, In the Unlikely Event was amazing ! I am a teacher now and read your books to my class-- I get much pleasure seeing them enjoy the mischievous and adorable Farley Drexel Hatcher! I recently finished the series with my youngest children and they loved them as much as I did and do Thank you for your creativity and relatability. Much love and respect-- Elisabeth

Hello Judy Blume,

What a great message board! I've been inspired - and impressed - at your fans and I thought I'd write and ask a question of my own.

I read so many of your books as a kid and adolescent (honestly, what young woman hasn't read Are You There God...?) and I also enjoy your adult novels as well. I see that some of the young readers below say that their mothers have introduced them to your books, and it looks like most of those readers are girls. I have a son, so my question is: which of your books do you recommend for boys? He is 13 now, and he likes the Hunger Games and those kinds of fantasy novels. But I would love for him to fall in love with your books as did I...any suggestions would be great - I am sorry if I missed the boat with the Fudge books...I've always let him pick out his own books, and, like most boys these days, he gravitated toward Captain Underpants and Diary of a Whimpy Kid (sorry!).

Thanks for your time.

An eternal fan,

Samantha
