Dear Mrs.Blume,
Hello Mrs.Blume my name is Victoria I am from the school LCES.I think you should make another book like Jimmy Wants A Pet Lizard that would be an entertaining book.I"ll tell you some ideas I think would be awsome.

First,my favorite book is Tales Of A Fourth Grade Nothing but although I haven't read Otherwise Know As Sheila The Great, and Superfudge. You could add a character named Carhe in the book Jimmy Wants A Pet Lizard and Jimmy likes Carhe.

Mrs.Blume I love your books.Could you plese try to make more books in the Fudge series.I love all your books.

Posted March 13, 2014 10:27 am

Dear Mrs. Blume,
I am arya.I am in 2nd grade. I want you to write a new Fudge book. These are the books I have read,Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Fudge a Mainia, and Doubble Fudge.

If you write a new Fudge book I have ideas that you can use in your book. The title of the book can be Fudge the Second Grader. Fudge'st teacher is Mrs.Kiefaber. You should add new characters in the classroom.

You should come to our school. You can pick some people for your book Fudge the Second Grader.

You Biggest fan,
Arya XXX

Dear Mrs. Blume,
My name is Owen.I'm in second grade at Mrs. Kiefaber's class.
I think you should write another Fudge book named Tales o f a Second Grade Nothing. In this book Peter is in second grade, and Fudge isn't born yet. What if Fudge swallowed ten raw fish?Oooh! what if there is a new character called Cody?

Do you think you should write another book? I think you should. Bye!

P.S. I'm a bigger fan than Carter lee!

Hometown: Seattle,WA - Posted March 12, 2014 8:19 pm

Dear Judy,
I've only read four of your books but I really like them so I plan to read more. The books are Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, Double Fudge, Fude-a-Mania, and Freckle Juice. Two things: One, I think Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing should be a movie and two, I think you should tour sometime. At least to Seattle.

Dear Judy Blume,
I very much liked your Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing series, and ask you to please do one, two or a few more books. But, please don't add in the Howies because they were really annoying.

I am now reading Blubber. Thank you for writing these amazing books!

Hometown: Hattiesburg, MS - Posted March 12, 2014 10:07 am

I just want to say thank you. Your writing really did change my life. Even though I'm almost sixteen, "Are you There God, It's Me, Margaret" is still my favorite book. When I was in middle school, I would read about Margaret and Blubber over and over again. A few years back you had a book signing at USM and I regret it all the time for not going. You know what would be absolutely amazing? A part two to Margaret's story. I would do anything to read about her as a teenager, sometimes I sit and ponder what she would be like. I've never felt so connected to a fictional character, and I would love to get that feeling again. I know your book demographics are a bit younger than I am, but I would be the happiest person in the world if you write a part two. I'm sorry, I just kind of kept typing what I felt. I originally came here to tell you how great of an author you were but my thoughts started to wonder. I just wanted to say thank you.

Ms. blume, from my age you can tell I grew up with your books. I want you to know I have given 'forever' to 4 of my friend's daughters. I cannot begin to say the impact you have had on my life. From your light , funny 'one in the middle' to your real life 'then again' books. In a time when grown up topics were barely discussed, you were the aunt that told me what life is really about. Now my son reads super fudge and I want you to know your legacy is far reaching. Thank you for being there while I became a woman

Hey Judy! I just wanted to let you know that you did amazing things for me throughout my life and when my teacher this year in my senior year of high school said you have to write a research paper on someone and their effect on literature. I honestly couldn't think of anyone else to write about! Thank you for writing everything you have and for fighting the censorship of your books. Thank God your books were not banned from me because i don't know where i would be without them! Thank you so much Judy!

Staci Kiefaber

Hi Mrs. Blume,
My name is Staci Kiefaber. I am a second grade teacher in Dahlonega, Georgia. My students are very passionate about your Fudge series books. We have read three of your five books so far this school year. My students are great writers. They came up with the idea to write a persuasive letter to you convincing you to write more Fudge books. Next week they are planning to do a writing assignment to you so be ready for 21 persuasive letters in your Guest Book. Our school is Lumpkin County Elementary! Go LCES! Your fan, Staci Kiefaber

As my boys start to read your books, I have never been more excited to introduce them to an author. My parents never talked to me about puberty, sex, or anything uncomfortable growing up and your books (you know which ones!) were like a Bible to me. They helped me through so many insecurities and struggles and I attribute the fact that I'm a fairly well-adjusted happy adult to the influence you had on me when I was a pre-teen. Thank you so much for your honesty and courage over the years. You are the primary reason I believe censorship is so harmful for kids. Because of the controversy over your books in the 80's, I have gone on to read every banned book I can find, and it has made me a richer, more fulfilled person. Thank you, thank you, thank you, a million times over. You are my hero.

Very Sincerely,
Dave J

Hi Judy,
I'm in high school and in my English class we were given the assignment of writing an essay on a controversial topic. For my topic I'm writing about the censorship and banning of books. I picked this topic because I love to read. As I got deeper into my research, I became more and more enraged at the ridiculous reasons for the removal of certain titles. But you have helped me so much in the process of writing this speech. I read your book "Forever" because I was curious about why it has been challenged. And when I found this website I was so happy to read about an author's opinions on the subject. Thank you so much for writing and inspiring others like you have inspired me.

Dear , the author that understands, Judy Blume,

I'd like to thank you for all of the books I have been reading since I was 9 and how they have now prepared me for a less complicated adolescence. From the dealing with a younger sibling Peter Hatcher to the confused about growing up Margret Ann Simon. Also for the book I've read over 5 times: Blubber. I, myself are a tiny but overweight and dealing with criticism is much easier now. I've entered high school and its stopped but know and then I hear some from older students. I block these taunts out. I hope someday I can hear back from you or even meet you. Meeting you would be absolutely WONDERFUL!!! Anyway, I know you have more mail and em@ils to read and hopefully more books for teenagers.

Yours sincerely~Amber Jade.H
P.S I really hope to hear back from you. I love your spectacular work!!:] <3

I have just discovered you...Summer Sisters is a masterpiece. I am an avid reader, but, only recently have I discovered books from earlier in the 90's (thanks to the late husband of a fried who was a collector (& reader) of books. She has shared with me boxes full that have been stored in their garage. Never have I been brought to serious tears as well as heart felt emotion reading a book. It is beyond a "good book". Your depth in the characters, all participants, but, certainly Vix and Caitlin...this could have been written in today's times. This would be a best seller today. This should be made into a movie. This is the best book all around of any I have ever read. Trust me....I will go to Amazon and get all of your books. I just had to write and tell you you are a master of people. Thank you.

ps: At my age I do not consider myself as elderly. I am very active (including golf) and my 6 grandkids don't consider me an old lady...and until I read Summer Sisters I thought F.Scott Fitzgerald was the greatest writer of people.

Dear Judy;
I had written you before an email, but SADLY lost the copy I had. I had really cherished that, and wanted to write again since it's been some time.

It's because of you, Judy, that I have enjoyed most all of my life the love of reading. It all started in Franklin Elementary School growing up in Syracuse, NY when the librarian gave me the book, "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing". I had read it before library period ended, and went back to her explaining what I loved about the story.
It was about 4 years ago when I had realized I had not read your Adult titles, and so within 6 weeks had them read, and want to say, "I absolutely Loved them!" They had me longing I could find someone to love again. I did, but she turned out to be Ex Wife #2 which I am ashamed to say because all I have ever wanted in my life is to love someone who would love me back.
I am a 46 year young Christian Gentleman who thinks love notes should be written daily; Flowers given to your sweetheart more than a holiday; by the way, "Happy Valentine's Day to You!";that doing dishes for your special someone any day and or every day is something I have done before(3 years straight in my first marriage);massaging a woman's feet when she comes home and is tired;hugs and kisses daily;and simply calling her when I am out so she doesn't worry where I am; as well as simply being LOYAL to her and her alone! Listening, Laughing, Embracing, and Looking at Her when she speaks to me.
Sorry for rambling..I know that your busy?!!

I have always had a crush on you since I was in Fourth Grade reading all the books I could get my hands on that you wrote. When I would look at your photo I would simply think, "Oh, to be in love with Judy?!! How divine that would be!" I think your one of the most attractive authors I have ever enjoyed reading, and envy the man who has had the oppportunity to do so! He's a lucky man, Judy, and don't ever take yourself for granted in this respect! Your definitely worth the time and energy placed in this life to be so loved!

Well, Happy Valentine's Day again, and God Bless you and your family!

In His Grace and His Love,
a huge fan of yours now and FOREVER;
Michael Anthony

P.S. It was 18 years ago today on this day in 1996 that I walked into a house in Bucksport, Me with my then first wife and her daughter. We were looking to buy a house. The Living Room had Hearts on the Wallpaper of which I unknowingly did not realize it had, and after we were done looking at this 4 acre property with a West End Orchard, 2 Acres of North woods, Garden on East End with Garage and Workshop she loved it. It also had a spring on the property that was the sweetest water I have ever drank! I turned to her and said, "Happy Valentine's Day, Love!"
Did I tell you I am a Hopeless Romantic, wanting to be a Hopeful Romantic! I pray I find her one day when I least expect it?! I so long to love a Loyal, Christian Woman who is careful what she eats, exercises and will be a Loyal Partner in wanting to Fully Love me "Forever!"
