Dear Judy,
you are my absolute favorite author. My favorte book is Superfudge it is so funny!I have a suggestion for your next book. I think that Peter's school should have a dance and Sheela doesn't have anyone to go to the dance with and so doesn't Peter so, peter asks Sheela to go to the dance with him. On the night of the dance, peter goes to pick hher up and then he falls in love with her because she has a beautifu dress on. Then, fudge gets board so he sneaks out of the house and goes to peter's school. Once he arrives he sees sheela and peter dancing so he finds a camera and takes a picture. After he takes 25 pictures he fids his friend and he downloads tthem onto the internet.I hope you liked my suggestion for your next book maybe I will find my suggestion in your next book! I hope to hear from you soon! Remember, I will always be your biggest fan!
Your biggest fan,
Kara

I hope you are all healed up and you are healthy and well. Congratulations, I wish you and Lawrence all the success in the world to the new movie adaptation of Tiger Eyes. I want to thank you so very much for helping to mold me into the person I am. I was always in a bad mood it seemed when I was growing up and I swore my 4th grade teacher hated me. She began reading us your books, and she would ask us when we finished the first if we wanted to continue on with another one of your books, and we did, one after the other. Your books made me laugh, made me feel excited to hear more, and then get the books myself and read them again. I even felt sympathy (yes from me a perpetually angry 4th grader) towards the characters hardships at times, but throughout the whole journey, I was brought there by my 4th grade teacher. I saw her in a different light. I appreciated her for bringing me into your world.I saw her differently, through her emotional reading of your stories. Through eyes that no longer looked at a fuzzy cartoon image but a sharper more realistic view of her as someone who cared about helping us grow and reach our full potential. I have never again so unfairly judged someone to be shallow to the point of being a comical villain and instead acknowledged and accepted that grown ups (even other kids) were multifaceted, complex, and never simple to understand and misjudge. If my childhood friends, that I have always stayed in touch with, and the many friends I have since been lucky to come to know throughout my life's journey so far knew that you were a major influence on me they would shower you with letters of thanks. You are the reason that my friends have a solid unshakable fondness and always give me such kind words such as giving them the best memories of growing up ever, or how I can always be counted on to be there for them, or that they feel that as a grown man I have yet to lose that childlike spirit of "innocent nobility", or that I have "never changed" and have a solid character since they have met me. They have no awareness that I had an epiphany really and opened myself up to a gentle understanding of others, and that I wasn't the only kid that had some of that "world is against me" attitude that I didn't think anybody understood me. It's difficult to really express my thanks and do it justice. I will say from my heart, you have my love and gratitude for you and your family, always.

Judy Blume,
I was told by my grandmother that a boy in grade four had once started writing a book. With the help of friends, family, and classmates/Teacher, his book was published. Since then I discovered a talent for writing stories. I have recently started writing a chapter book. While I brainstormed and wrote a rough copy on paper I had to stop. I included the situation/city in my story " Miles City " but I have a stable named Thunder Oak Stables in my story, and there is no place like that in Miles City. Is it allowed? If it isn't then how am I supposed continue with the story without having to make everything real, like the horses names? I understand a little bit of how an author would feel in a tight spot. I really hope that you can answer my questions and help me so that my book can be a success. Thank you Judy Blume.

Horsefully,
Melvin Trotter
Ps: Melvin Trotter is a name that I use between myself and a friend. It is my nickname. And as you can see, I love horses.

Are you going to write a book about Alison after "Here's to You, Rachael Robinson?" I really liked your series. I also like how you don't sugar-coat the truth about growing up.

Dear Judy Blume,
Hi! I'm Sarah! I'm a big fan of yours! You PROBABLY don't remember me, but I met you at the 2009 National Book Fair. I was the kid who actually met you after you finished signing books. Long story. Anyway, my mom read the Fudge books when she was a kid, and I've read them since I was 5. I'm also a big fan of "Here's to You, Rachel Robinson" and "Just as Long as We're Together"(P.S. Are you going to write anymore of these books or about Fudge? If you did, I'm sure a lot of people will read it!), and I also really enjoyed "Blubber", "Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret"(You should write a 45 or 50th anniversary special for that!),and "Tiger Eyes".
Sincerely, Sarah

Dear Ms. Blume,
For my tenth grade English honors class we're writing essays about ideas that we got from reading Julius Caesar. The topic I became interested in was censorship, which then sparked and interest in the censorship of student education. When doing research on this I came across your page on censorship. It surprises me how books that are filled with true emotions are the ones that people don't like. It's almost as if they don't want us to have feelings as well as not having opinions. Almost as if they want us students to become robots.
Living in Alaska, most books that are banned in other places aren't banned here, so my education isn't really at stake, but it's shocking to see how others aren't as lucky as I am when it comes to this topic.
Are they really just trying to create robots out of us?

Happy Birthday Judy! You were my favorite author and indirectly taught me to love reading when I was a child. You let me know I wasn't the only little Jewish girl around. I grew up to be a teacher and a librarian and I had the honor of meeting you at an ALA conference a few years ago and getting your autograph. Have a wonderful birthday and KEEP WRITING!!

First,I'm a huge fan of your books...so much so I'm doing a biography report on you for my fifth grade class. My favorite book of yours is "Are You There God, It's Me Margaret". I read it with my mom (who grew up reading your books too). In the meantime I wanted to send you an early birthday wish. I hope this year brings you lots of happiness.

Dear Judy, I just want to say thank you. My childhood was hard, I was over weight, two feet taller than even the boys and my family was poor. You gave me an escape, you gave me friends, you kept me going when nothing else seemed worth it. I could make this long and sloppy and emotional, but I won't. I'll just say thanks, again. I sure wish I could meet up with some of those friends on facebook! I just KNOW Fudge is a world renowned neurosurgeon! Love you.

Our granddaughter, 9, is going to be welcoming soon-to-be-born baby brother next month. Have you written any "big sister advice" type books? We have been unable to locate any fun books on this subject for her. She's very bright, 3rd grade, reads chapter books way above her grade level. Thank you for any comments you can share. Teri
